MUARABULIAN – Satu jemaah haji asal kabupaten Batanghari meninggal dunia saat menjalankan ibadah haji di tanah suci Makkah. Dia adalah Rahana Syarif Wahid (56) warga RT 03 desa Sengkati Kecil, kecamatan Mersam.
Ini dibenarkan oleh Kepala Kantor Kementrian Agama Batanghari, Herman S.Ag melalui Kasi Haji dan Umroh, Drs H M Haris pada Selasa (20/8/2019).
“ Iya, ada satu jemaah haji kita yang meninggal dunia pada 12 Agustus 2019. Dia adalah Rahana Syarif Wahid, warga Sengkati Kecil, kecamatan Mersam,” kata Haris di Muarabulian.
Berdasarkan keterangan dari dokter yang berhasil diterima pihaknya, kata Haris, jemaah haji yang meninggal tersebut diduga sakit jangtung. Jemaah yang meninggal itu dimakamkan di tanah suci dan pihak keluarga juga sudah tahu.
“ Meninggal karena sakit dan juga karena faktor kelelahan saat mengerjakan ibadah haji,” terang Haris.
Haris menambahkan, untuk saat ini kondisi jemaah haji asal kabupaten Batanghari yang masih mengerjakan ibadah haji di tanah suci Makkah masih dalam kondisi sehat dan masih bisa melaksanakan ibadah haji.
“ Jemaah haji yang lainnya tidak mengalami masalah apa pun disana. Mereka masih bisa menegrjakan ibadah haji dengan lancar,” sebut Haris.(mon )
