MUARABULIAN - Dinas Sosial (Dinsos) kabupaten Batanghari tahun ini menganggarkan dana sebesar Rp 88 juta lebih untuk program pemulangan dan pemakaman bagi orang terlantar di wilayah Batanghari. Sejauh ini, hingga Oktober 2019, Dinas Sosial telah memulangkan 18 terlantar dari target 57 orang ke daerah asal mereka. Selain itu juga, pihaknya mengakomodir proses perawatan orang gila terlantar sebanyak 15 orang ke rumah sakit jiwa (RSJ) Jambi. Kepala Dinas Sosial Batanghari, Fauzan Ashari melalui Kabid Pemberdayaan Rehabilitasi Sosial, Srimarta Puriana mengakui terjadi penurunan terhadap angka, baik orang terlantar maupun orang gila, yang mereka tangani. Puriana mengatakan, dari anggaran yang ada, pihaknya juga melakukan pemakaman gratis bagi orang terlantar (mayat-red) yang meninggal di kabupaten Batanghari. Dimana sejauh ini pihaknya mencatat ada 1 orang mayat terlantar ditemukan. “ Untuk yang meninggal tahun ini ada satu, sementara target tahun ini ada 3 orang,” sebutnya pada Selasa (22/10/2019).
Dijelaskannya, pemulangan orang terlantar tersebut sebelumnya akan dilakukan koordinasi terlebih dahulu terhadap Dinas Sosial yang ada di lokasi pemulangan. “ Rata-rata orang terlantar ini berasal dari luar daerah. Jadi kalau kita pulangkan, kita step by step karena jauh. Kita koordinasi dulu, misalnya dengan pihak Dinsos Lampung,” katanya. “ Kalau untuk pemakaman itu, kita harus menunggu surat rekomendasi dari pihak kepolisian setempat agar bisa kita makamkan seperti tahun sebelumnya,” ungkapnya.
Orang-orang terlantar yang dipulangkan Dinsos Batanghari tersebut beragam alasan. Diantaranya tersesat, tertipu pekerjaan, kecopetan serta lainnya.(mon )
