BATANGHARINEWS.COM – Enam orang warga kabupaten Batanghari menjadi korban tewas tenggelam di sungai Batanghari.
Mereka ditemukan meninggal dunia setelah dikabarkan tenggelam saat menyebrangi sungai Batanghari menggunakan perahu menuju kebun dan tenggelam karena menginjak lobang pasir di sungai Batanghari.
Kepala Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Batanghari, Nazhar, S.Pd melalui Makmun, S.Pd.I selaku Kasi Kedaruratan dan Logistik pada BPBD Batanghari, dikonfirmasi Selasa (3/12/2019) mengakui hal itu.
Kata Makmun, berdasarkan rekapitulasi jumlah korban tenggelam di kabupaten tahun 2019 ada dua belas orang. Dari jumlah itu, enam diantaranya ditemukan meninggal dunia, sementara luka berat lima orang dan luka ringan satu orang.
“Jumlah korban tenggelam ini berdasarkan rekapitulasi sejak Januari sampai awal Desember 2019. Penyebabnya ada yang jatuh ke sungai Batanghari, jatuh ke sawah sedang mincing, sedang mandi, sedang menyebrangi sungai Batanghari menggunakan perahu menuju kebun, dan tenggelam karena menginjak lobang pasir,” teang Makmun.
