MUARABULIAN – Pelaksanaan ujian kenaikan kelas bagi siswa SD dan SMP di kabupaten Batanghari tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 sudah dimulai, Senin (20/12/2019) kemarin. Ujian ini akan berlansung seminggu kedepan dan di akhiri dengan penerimaan rapor kepada siswa.
Untuk tingkat SD siswa harus mengikuti ujian dengan jumlah Sembilan mata pelajaran, sedangkan pada tingkat SMP ada 10 mata pelajaran. “ Setelah ujian selesai siswa akan kembali diliburkan selama dua minggu,” ujar Kabid Dikdas dinas Pendidikan dan kebudayaan kabupaten Batanghari Zulfadli,M.Pd.
Dipaparkan Zulfadli, Ujian kenaikan kelas semestinya siswa tidak ada yang tinggal kelas dengan mengesampingkan nilai siswa (ilmu pengetahuan) dengan nilai rendah di perbaiki. Tapi tidak untuk nilai pendidikan karakternya. “ Jika karakter siswanya buruk siswa tersebut bisa saja tidak naik kelas, dengan alasa, seperti tidak disiplin, membangkang (melawan Guru) dan sikap lainnya,” jelas Kabid Dikdas.
Jumlah Siswa tidak naik kelas di tingkat SD dan SMP di kabupaten Batanghari sebenarnya pada tahun lalu sangat minim, diperkirakan hanya ada 0,1 persen siswa yang tidak naik kelas dari 33 ribu siswa. Hal itu dikarenakan, siswa ada yang tidak ikut ujian, atau hanya namanya saja yang ada tapi siswanya tidak ada (drop out) tanpa keterangan, dan termasuk sikap buruk yang membuat tidak naik kelas.
Disdikbud juga menyarankan dan menghimbau agar orang tua dapat menerima. Tidak hanya itu siswa juga akan diberikan pembinaan lebih lanjut, untuk merubah karakter siswa tersebut lebih baik lagi. “ Kita minta kepada sekolah dapat berkonsultasi ke orang tua murid untuk diberi pemahaman jika terdapat penilaian anak terhadap pendidikan sikap yang tidak baik ini,” jelas Zulfadli.
Kabid juga mengarahkan dalam penilaian, Guru dapat memperhatikan nilai akhlak, sikap dan pengetahuan. Sesuai dengan permendikbud penilaian siswa. “ Kriteria penilaian pada pendidikan karakter ini,” cetusnya.
Terpisah Kepala Disdikbud Batanghari Dra Jamilah memaparkan, Aspek dinyatakan naik dan tidak naik kelasnya siswa ada dua penilaian, pertama penilaian pengetahuan, kedua penilaian karakter. “ Pintar tapi sikap nya buruk, siswa tersebut tidak dinaikan kelas,” cetus Jamilah.
Sesuai dengan Permendikbud 17 tahun 2017, penilaian kenaikan kelas untuk Ilmu pengetahuan dikesampingkan untuk syarat kenaikan kelas namun yang diutamakan pendidikan karakternya baik.
