BATANGHARI - Pemerintah Kabupaten Batanghari bersama Unsur Forkopimda ikuti kegiatan Polres Batanghari tentang penenaman pohon secara serentak di seluruh Indonesia, dalam rangka peringatan Hari Sejuta Pohon Sedunia, dan mendukung program pemerintah dalam menumbuh kembangkan budaya cinta lingkungan pada Jum'at (10/01)pagi.
Acara dihadiri langsung oleh Bupati Batanghari, Ir.H.Syahirsah,Sy di wakili Asisten II Setda Batanghari M.Rifai, Para Unsur Forkopimda, Para Kepala OPD serta tamu undangan lainnya.
Dalam sambutannya Kapolres Batanghari AKBP. Dwi Mulyanto menyampaikan, dalam kegiatan penanaman pohon secara serentak di seluruh Indonesia melalui program Polri Peduli Penghijauan, Polres Batanghari bersama Pemerintah Daerah dan bersama para Unsur Forkopimda melakukan penanaman pohon jenis tanaman hutan dan buah-buahan.
Lanjut Dwi, Dan akan ada sebanyak kurang lebih 1.000 pohon yang akan di tanam, yang mana di lokasikan di 4 daerah, yaitu di Area Candika Batanghari ada sebanyak 150 batang yang di tanam, Mako Polres Batanghari sebanyak 20 batang, Asrama Polri Teratai sebanyak 30 dan di 8 Polsek Jajaran Polres Batanghari dengan masing-masing 100 batang pohon.
"Kegiatan ini hendaknya tidak hanya di jadikan acara ceremonial belaka, akan tetapi apa yang di tanam harus selalu di jaga dan di rawat bersama, karena hal tersebut merupakan tanggung jawab kita bersama dalam upaya menjaga, melestarikan serta merawat dan lingkungan dimanapun kita berada," harap Dwi.
Sementara itu, Asisten II Setda Batanghari M.Rifai mengatakan, di sadari bahwa hutan sangat berperan sebagai penyangga kehidupan dan sekaligus menyediakan hasil htan kayu, hasil hutan bukan kayu (HHBK), kebutuhan pangan, ketersediaan air, sumber energi dan manfaat lingkungan lainnya termasuk penghasilan oksigen, rekreasi dan konservasi keanekaragaman hayati.
"Dan dengan itu Pemerintah Daerah berperan melaksanakan program rehabilitasi hutan dan lahan dengan penanaman 1 milyar pohon. Pemerintah berharap kepada masyarakat dalam mensukseskan rencana penanaman pohon penghijauan guna mendukung program penghijauan dan upaya nyata seluruh komponen harus turut serta untuk menanam pohon mulai dari perkarangan sendiri, agar lingkungan yang asri selalu terjaga," katanya.
