TANJAB BARAT - Bupati Tanjung Jabung Barat, Safrial turut prihatin atas kejadian musibah yang menimpah Zulfan (16) tahun, warga Lorong Mustaqim RT 02, Kelurahan Tungkal III, Kecamatan Tungkal Ilir, Kabupaten Tanjab Barat.
Zulfan merupakan korban tenggelam saat berenang bersama empat temannya di kawasan anjungan Pengabuan Water Front City (WFC), pada Selasa (14/01) lalu.
Kamis (16/1/2020) siang, Bupati Safrial ikut turun mencari Zulfan bersama Kadis BPBD dan tim gabungan menyelisir sepeturan perairan sungai pengabuan.
Meski kondisi cuaca tidak mendukung dalam pencarian tersebut, namun tidak menyurutkan keinginan bupati melangkahkan kakinya di armada karet milik Basarnas bersama Kadis BPBD Tanjab barat dan tim gabungan.
Usai menelusuri sungai, Bupati Safrial yang didampingi oleh Kepala BPBD, Kadishub mengimbau kepada masyarakat Tanjab Barat khususnya agar sadar akan bahaya dengan mengawasi anak-anak saat berenang di sungai.
"Kejadian ini kan sudah berulang kali. Kita tentu mengimbau kepada warga terutama anak -anak harus sadar dengan bahaya, orang tua perlu mengawasi anak-anak untuk mencegah bahaya. Kalau memang mau berenang ya di kolam berenang saja," ujar Safrial.
"Tapikan anak-anak susah kita kendalikan itulah yang terjadi saat ini," timpalnya.
Dilanjutkannya, hingga hari ketiga pencarian ini, pihaknya dari tim BPBD kabupaten yang dibantu Basarnas, TNI, Polisi dan warga akan terus berjaga-jaga dan berusaha semaksimal mungkin melakukan pencarian.
"Kita sama - sama berdoa saja agar korban ditemukan secepatnya. Biasanya sudah tiga hari jika tenggelam akan timbul atau membengkak. Mungkin tim pencarian biasanya memiliki limit waktu tapi kita sangat berharap sebelum sampai limit sudah bisa ditemukan," harap Safrial.
