BATANGHARINEWS.COM – Puluhan desa di tujuh kecamatan dalam wilayah k abupaten Batanghari , kini mulai terendam banjir. Bahkan saat ini juga terdapat akses jalan desa yang nyaris terputus akibat digenangi air.
Data yang diperoleh dari Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) k abupaten Batanghari, desa yang terendam banjir diantaranya, Benteng dan Sengkati di Kecamatan Mersam, serta Olak Jong, Olak Besar, Aur Gading, dan Karmeo di Kecamatan Batin XXIV.
Kemudian enam desa di k ecamatan Maro Sebo Ulu (MSU), d esa Danau Embat di k ecamatan Maro Sebo Ilir, d esa Rambutan Masam dan Ampelu di k ecamatan Muara t embesi, serta kelurahan Pasar Baru di k ecamatan Muara b ulian.
Kepala BPBD Batanghari, Nazhar melalui Sekretaris BPBD Batanghari, Samral Lubis, kepada media bilang, a da 1 7 desa yang terkena dampak. Di iantaranya di wilayah k ecamatan Mersam dua desa, empat desa di Kecamatan Batin XXIV, MSU ada enam desa, MSI ada satu desa, dua desa di Muara t embesi dan satu di Muara bulian.
B elasan desa tersebut berada di sepanjang daerah aliran sungai (DAS), yang memang rentan kebanjiran jika air s ungai Batanghari naik. Tapi belasan desa ini merupakan data sementara, bisa saja bertambah atau berkurang sesaui dengan tinggi muka air (TMA) .
“ Sejauh ini tujuh kecamatan dalam wilayah kabupaten Batanghari, terdapat 17 desa yang sudah tergenang air dengan ketinggian 10 sampai 40 cm, yakni di kecamatan Bathin XXIV 5 desa, Kecamatan Muara Tembesi 2 desa, Kecamatan Mersam 4 desa dan Kecamatan Maro Sebo Ulu 6 desa,” kata Samral pada Selasa (28/1/2020).
Diakui Samral, saat ini genangan air belum terlalu mengganggu aktivitas masyarakat dan tidak ada juga kejadian lainnya. Meskipun demikian, diakui Samral, pihak BPBD kabupaten Batanghari, hingga saat ini terus memantau perkembangan debit air sungai Batanghari. Dalam sepekan terakhir, terpantau debit air sungai Batanghari mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan.
Dia bilang, berdasarkan pemantauan alat pengukur ketinggian air (APKA) di dermaga Muarabulian kemarin, Tinggi Muka Air (TMA) sungai Batanghari sudah berada pada posisi 278 Cm. Itu artinya sudah dalam status waspada.
“Kepada masyarakat agar selalu waspada terhadap perubahan cuaca dan genangan air , terutama bagi warga yang berada di bantaran sungai,” tutupnya.
