BATANGHARINEWS.COM – Pemerintah kabupaten Batanghari melalui Tim Seleksi MTQ akan melaksanakan seleksi calon peserta (SCP) Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) tingkat provinsi Jambi tahun 2020 di kantor Kementerian Agama (Kemenag) Batanghari.
Ini merupakan seleksi tahap kedua untuk menjaring calon peserta MTQ terbaik asal Batanghari guna mengikuti MTQ tahun 2020 yang sedianya akan digelar di kota Jambi.
Kabag Kessos Setda Batanghari, Syukri, kepada media ini mengatakan, seleksi calon peserta MTQ tahap kedua ini tidak lain untuk melengkapi kekurangan peserta MTQ Batanghari untuk mengikuti MTQ tingkat provinsi Jambi tahun ini.
Dimana pada seleksi tahap kedua ini, terdapat 165 orang pelajar dari 10 sekolah mulai dari santri pondok pesantren (Ponpes), pelajar MAN, MTS dan SMK yang ada di wilayah Batanghari.
“Ada 165 orang calon peserta yang akan diseleksi nanti, para peserta seleksi ini merupakan santri dari Ponpes, siswa dari MAN, MTS dan SMK di Batanghari,” kata Syukri.
Syukri mengakui, seleksi tahap kedua nanti akan berlangsung selama 1 hari, dan akan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 15 Februari tahun ini di kantor Kemenag Batanghari.
“Ada kekurangan peserta MTQ tingkat provinsi Jambi tahun ini sekitar 10 orang lagi, sehingga dilakukan seleksi tahap kedua. Seleksi ini disamping memenuhi kuota MTQ tahun ini, juga untuk menggali potensi calon-calon kafilah MTQ Batanghari,” ujar Syukri.
Syukri berharap para peserta seleksi dapat memberikan penampilan secara maksimal sehingga dapat terpilih peserta terbaik yang nantinya akan mewakili Batanghari dalam even bergengsi tersebut.
Syukri juga berpesan kepada para peserta seleksi harus mencurahkan tenaga semaksimal mungkin agar dapat terpilih, namun perlu diingat bahwa sikap, tingkah laku dan kedisiplinan juga bagian dari penilaian. Karenanya ia berharap nantinya agar peserta serius dan mengikuti proses seleksi hingga selesai,” imbaunya.
Dikatakan, pemerintah akan berupaya memberikan perhatian serius terhadap pembinaan dan pengembangan potensi bagi para insan qur’ani agar pada kafilah Batanghari dapat mengukir prestasi yang lebih baik lagi pada MTQ tahun mendatang. Perhatian juga diberikan kepada peserta yang meraih juara pada ajang MTQ berupa penghargaan dan bonus,” tutupnya
