MH mengatakan,  mengharapkan kerja sama yang baik antara pihak Dikbud Merangin dan Musyawarah Guru Bimbingan Konseling (MGBK) dengan pihaknya yang nantinya dapat memberikan bimbingan konseling kepada warga binaan. “Saya selaku kalapas sangat mengucapkan terima kasih kepada pihak Dikbud dan MGBK di Merangin karena bisa bekerja sama dengan kami.  Sudah seharusnya warga binaan mendapatkan bimbingan konseling, karena warga binaan memerlukan perhatian kita semua,” katanya.

Selain itu beliau juga mengatakan, diharapkan kerja sama ini tidak hanya terjalin sebatas memberikan bimbingan konseling, akan tetapi juga dapat memberikan pelayanan pendidikan bagi warga binaan yang ingin menamatkan pendidikannya seperti mengikuti ujian paket A,B,dan C.

“Walaupun warga binaan disini, tapi mereka punya hak untuk memperoleh pendidikan dimasa depan. Kami berharap pihak Dikbud bisa memfasilitasi hal itu guna keberlangsungan pendidikannya,” harapnya.

Kepala Dikbud Merangin, H. M Zubir mengatakan, mengapresiasi program Kalapas II B, Bangko yang mau bekerja sama memberikan bimbingan konseling dengan melibatkan guru BK dilapas.

“Saya apresiasi kerja sama ini, ini ide yang bagus, padahal sebelumnya tidak terpikirkan oleh saya, yang jelas kerja sama ini saya sangat setuju,” ujarnya.

Ide tersebut menurut Zubir, adalah ide yang sangat luar biasa, yang dapat bersentuhan langsung dengan warga binaan, yang pastinya dapat mengangkat harkat dan martabat warga binaan setelah selesai menjalani masa binaan. 

“Selain memberikan bimbingan konseling oleh guru kita, apa yang disampaikan kalapas soal kerja sama untuk memberikan keberlangsungan pendidikan untuk menamatkan pendidikan akan kita penuhi,  seperti ujian paket A, setara SD, Paket B, setara SMP, dan paket C, setara SMA,” jelasnya.

Tahun depan lanjut Zubir pihak Dikbud Merangin akan langsung turun ke lapas untuk mendata warga binaan yang berminat mengikuti ujian tersebut. “Siapa tahu keluar dari lapas nanti, ada warga binaan yang ingin bekerja di perusahaan swasta dan lain lain diterima bekerja mengejar karirnya,” tandasnya.
