MUARABULIAN - Masa dari rumah bagi para siswa kembali di perpanjang oleh Pemerintah Kabupaten (Pemkab) Batanghari.
Perpanjangan waktu belajar dari rumah ini dilakukan melalui Instruksi Pemkab Batanghari melalui Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan kabupaten Batanghari Nomor 421/989/DD/PDK/2020 tertanggal 29 Mei 2020 tentang edaran perpanjangan proses belajar dari rumah.
Hal ini dilakukan guna Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Corona virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19).
Dimana berdasarkan keputusan Bupati Batanghari Nomor 132 tahun 2020 tanggal 17 Maret 2020 tentang penetapan status keadaan tertentu darurat bencana akibat wabh penyakit akibat Corona virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) di kabupaten Batanghari.
Maka dengan berpedoman pada ketentuan tersebut dan mencermati perkembangan penyebaran Covid-19 masih menunjukkan gejala yang mengkhawatirkan, khususnya bagi anak-anak siswa sekolah, Bupati Batanghari kembali menginstruksikan Dinas Pendidikan Batanghari agar menambah jumlah hari merumahkan siswa.
Dalam surat edaran tersebut menjelaskan, kepada Satuan Pendidikan di tingkat PAUD/TK, SD, SMP sederajat, negeri maupun swasta dalam kabupaten Batanghari diperpanjang masa belajar dari rumah daring atau jarak jauh mulai tanggal 30 Mei sampai dengan 27 Juni 2020.
Kepala Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan kabupaten Batanghari, Agung Wihadi kepada media pernah mengatakan, selama dirumahkan, orang tua diharapkan memberi bimbingan dan pengajaran kepada anaknya terkait bahaya, serta langkah antisipasi penularan Covid-19.
Selain itu, orangtua dilarang membawa dan membiarkan anak keluar rumah, kecuali untuk keperluan yang penting dan mendesak, seperti berobat ke fasilitas kesehatan.
"Instruksi ini diambil sebagai bagian dari aksi physical dan social distancing , membatasi aktivitas masyarakat, demi meminimalisir potensi penularan Covid-19 di kabupaten Batanghari," ucapnya.
