MUARABULIAN - Bertempat di Gedung Pemuda Muarabulian pada Selasa (21/07) pagi, Bupati Batanghari, Ir. Syahirsah, Sy mengadiri Pelantikan Pengurus Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia (PWI) dan Ikatan Keluarga Wartawan Indonesia (IKWI) kabupaten Batanghari Periode 2020-2023.
Hadir pada acara pelantikan tersebut Ketua PWI Provinsi Jambi, H. Ridwan Agus Depati, Ketua IKWI Provinsi Jambi, Hj. Endang Rahma Haryati, SE, Ketua DPRD kabupaten Batanghari, Anita Yasmin,SE, Ketua TP-PKK Kabupaten Batanghari, Hj. Yunninta Syahirsah, para Forkopimda, para Kepala OPD dan para tamu undangan lainnya.
Bupati Batanghari dalam sambutannya menyampaikan Eksistensi PWI Perwakilan kabupaten Batanghari harus kita upayakan sebagai perekat dan pemersatu insan pers. Mengingat media atau insan pers merupakan mitra pemerintah dan sebagai modal dalam membangun kabupaten Batanghari.
“Pers adalah kekuatan yang dapat membangun Bangsa dan menyuarakan kepentingan rakyat. Peran wartwan sangat berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan pembangunan khususnya di Kabupaten Batanghari.
Selain itu, H. Ridwan Agus Depati selaku Ketua PWI Provinsi Jambi juga mengharapkan agar PWI kabupaten Batanghari dapat menjaga dengan baik Hubungan sebagai mitra kerja pemerintah khususnya untuk pembangunan kabupaten Batanghari.
Acara kemudia dilanjutkan dengan pelantikan oleh Ketua PWI Provinsi Jambi dan Penyerahan sertifikat Uji Kompetensi Wartwan kepada anggota PWI oleh Bupati Batanghari dan diakhiri dengan foto bersama.
