MUAROJAMBI - Kecelakaan lalulintas kembali memakan korban jiwa. Laka lantas kali ini membuat dua orang meninggal dunia di TKP, sementara lima lainnya mengalami luka luka dalam kecelakaan lalulintas kali ini.
Laka lantas terjadi di jalan Lintas Timur Jambi Merlung Rt 11 Desa Suko Awin Jaya, Kecamatan Sekernan, Kabupaten Muarojamb. Mobil Daihatsu Sigra Nomor Polisi BH 1710 HV hantam mobil Toyota Inova BM 1225 VJ.
Kasatlantas Polres Muarojambi, Iptu Muhammad Firdaus, kepada awak media mengatakan, kejadian tersebut terjadi pada Senin (10/8/20) malam sekira pukul 20:00 WIB. Pengendara mobil Daihatsu Sigra yang berjumlah 7 orang penumpang oleng sehingga menghantam mobil lainnya dari dari arah yang berlawanan.
Kata dia, untuk penumpang mobil Daihatsu Sigra sebanyak 7 orang penumpang, dari ketujuh orang penumpang dua di antaranya meninggal di Tempat Kejadian Perkara (TKP).
"Untuk korban yang meninggal dua orang, atas nama Bareno (20) warga kota Jambi dan Nadila (18) juga warga kota Jambi, sedangkan 5 orang lainnya hanya mengalami luka pada bagian kepala dan kaki," ujar Kasatlantas.
Untuk Sopir Daihatsu Sigra mengalami memar di bagian kepala dan lecet pada tangan dan kaki. Sementara Toyota Inova mengalami lecet, sedangkan sopir Toyota Inova hanya keseleo pada bagian pinggang.
