MERANGIN - Bupati Merangin, H. Al Haris menyambut kunjungan Kepala Perwakilan Badan Keluarga Berencana Nasional (BKKBN) Provinsi Jambi Munawar Ibrahim, S.Kp. M.PH, Rabu (16/9/2020) pagi dirumah dinas Bupati Merangin. Selain melakukan kunjungan kerja ke Merangin dan ingin melihat perkembangan Keluarga Berencana di Merangin, Kaper BKKBN Jambi Munawar Ibrahim juga mengahdiri pengukuhan pengurus Ikatan Penyuluh Keluarga Berencana (IpeKB) Cabang Kabupaten Merangin Priode 2020-2024. Kepala Dinas Pengendalian Penduduk dan Keluarga Bertencana (PPKB) Kabupaten Merangin, Drs. Elvis Suriadinata dalam laporannnya mengatakan, berdasarkan data basis capaian kinerja dari target 5 indikator yang ingin dicapai dari DPPKB Kabupaten Merangin, menurunnya TFR (angka kelahiran total), angka prevalensi kontrasepsi moderen, menurunnya kebutuhan ber-KB yang tidak terpenuhi, menunrunnya angka kelahiran bagi remajadan meningkatnya kesertaan keluarga ber-KB dan kesehatan reproduksi, “Maka untuk DPPKB Kabupaten Merangin di Tahun 2019, rata-rata capaian kinerja dengan predikat memuasakan (A), swebesar persenrase 93,36 persen," ungkap Elvis Suriadinata. Kepala Perwakilan Badan Keluarga Berencana Nasional (BKKBN) Provinsi Jambi, Munawar Ibrahim, S.Kp. M.PH dalam sambutannya mengatakan, mengapersiasi keberhasilan yang telah dicapai Merangin dalam program KB. “Setelah saya pelajari di Jambi ini salah satu yang terbaik termasuk Merangin. Namun angka stunting perlu mendapat perhatian termasuk angka perkawinan anak, karena kita masih diatas rata-rata nasional," ucap Munawar Ibrahim. Sementara Bupati Merangin, Al Haris dalam sambutannya mengaku merasa terkejut dengan “ledakan” penduduk di Kabupaten Merangin. Meski menurut Bupati dilihat dari luas wilayah sangat memungkinkan. “Perkembangan penduduk kita sangat luar biasa. Bayangkan saja pemilih kita di Pilgub sudah mengalahkan Muara Jambi, pemilih kita nomor dua sesudah Kota Jambi. Artinya ledakan ini perlu dicermati oleh para penyuluh dilapangan. Dan kelahiran anak-anak kita perlu berkualitas," ujar Bupati Merangin. Tampak hadir dalam kegiatan diruang pola II Kantor Bupati Merangin Kasdim 0320/Sarko Mayor Edy Arman, Kemenag Merangin Marwan Hasan, Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Abdai, Ketua Ikatan Dokter Indonesiqa (IDI).
