MERANGIN - Plt Bupati Merangin, H. Mashuri bersama Forkopimda dan rombongan, menyalurkan bantuan untuk keluarga korban banjir di Desa Sungai Limau, Kecamatan Tabir Timur, Senin sore (12/10/2020).
Bantuan yang diberikan H Mashuri berupa 23 paket Sembako dan tujuh paket bantuan makanan anak-anak. ‘’Bantuan ini akan sedikit membantu warga kita yang terkena musibah banjir,’’ ujar Plt Bupati.
H Mashuri mengajak warga yang terkena musibah banjir, untuk terus bersemangat dan banyak berdoa semoga banjir cepat berlalu, sehingga bisa kembali melakukan aktivitas kerja sehari-hari mencari nafkah untuk keluarga.
Untuk diketahui, puluhan rumah di Desa Sungai Limau yang terendam banjir itu, akibat tingginya curag hujan yang terjadi dalam sepekan terakhir, sehingga membuat Sungai Batang Tabir di kawasan tersebut meluap.
Banjir setinggi dua meter di bagian lubuk sungai yang merendam pemukiman warga, terjadi sejak Sabtu malam (10/10). Berkat siap siaga warga dan mengetahui kondisi debit air Sungai Batang Tabir akan meluap, tidak ada korban jiwa pada bencana banir ini.
Plt Kepala Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Kabupaten Merangin H Syafri mengatakan, Tim Reaksi Cepat (TRC) sudah turun ke lapangan dan berkoordinasi dengan kepala desa setempat terkait terjadinya banjir tersebut.
‘’Selain Desa Sungai Limau Tabir Timur, ada beberapa desa di Kecamatan Tabir Ilir juga terendam banjir, diantaranya Desa Rantau Limau Manis dan Desa Ulak Makam, yang memang sudah menjadi langganan banjir,’’ tandas Syafri.
