KERINCI - Penjabat sementara (Pjs) Gubernur Jambi, Ir.Restuardy (Ardy) Daud,M.Sc mengemukakan bahwa potensi pertanian dan pariwisata harus bisa meningkatkan kemajuan dan daya saing daerah Kabupaten Kerinci. Hal tersebut dikemukakan Ardy Daud pada Rapat Paripurna Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah (DPRD) Kabupaten Kerinci dalam rangka Peringatan Hari Ulang Tahun (HUT) ke-62 Kabupaten Kerinci Tahun 2020, yang berlangsung di Ruang Rapat Paripurna Gedung DPRD Kabupaten Kerinci, Senin (9/11/2020).
Untuk itu, Ardy Daud meminta Pemerintah Kabupaten Kerinci harus terus memanfaatkan potensi pertanian dan pariwisata yang lebih produktif dan inovatif sesuai dengan karakteristik daerah Kerinci demi kesejahteraan masyarakat.
"Kabupaten Kerinci yang terletak di dataran tinggi memiliki keunggulan dan potensi pertanian dan perkebunan, terutama untuk komoditi teh, kopi, dan kayu manis yang memiliki kualitas ekspor. Kita mengetahui kopi produksi Kerinci telah dikenal oleh para pecinta kopi internasional dan telah memiliki brand kopi Sumatera Koerintji," ujar Ardy Daud.
"Berbekal keunggulan dan karakteristik wilayah Kerinci, kita harus terus mendorong daya saing daerah yang berbasis pertanian dengan didorong sektor industri dan pariwisata untuk lebih menggiatkan perekonomian daerah, menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan, serta meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat dalam mempersiapkan generasi emas Indonesia di tahun 2045," tambah Ardy Daud.
Ardy Daud mengungkapkan, Pemerintah Pusat telah menetapkan Kabupaten Kerinci dalam RPJMN 2019-2024 sebagai kawasan strategis pariwisata nasional dan Taman Nasional Kerinci Seblat sebagai cluster destinasi wisata alam prioritas. Pemerintah Provinsi Jambi juga telah menetapkan kawasan nasional Kerinci Seblat dan sekitarnya dalam rencana induk pembangunan kepariwisataan 2016-2021 sebagai kawasan strategis Provinsi Jambi.
"Hal ini didukung dengan keberadaan Bandara Depati Parbo sebagai salah satu simpul jaringan transportasi yang merupakan pintu gerbang perekonomian masyarakat. Semua itu merupakan suatu modal dalam membangun daerah, yang dapat mendorong percepatan pembangunan Kabupaten Kerinci menjadi lebih maju," ungkap Ardy Daud.
Selanjutnya, Ardy Daud menuturkan, aktivitas masyarakat sepanjang tahun 2020 ini sangatlah terbatas akibat pandemi covid-19 yang tengah melanda, serta mengajak seluruh masyarakat Kabupaten Kerinci untuk sama-sama konsisten dalam menerapkan protokol kesehatan.
Ardy Daud juga mengajak seluruh masyarakat Kabupaten Kerinci untuk meyukeskan pilkada serentak pada tanggal 9 Desember 2020 secara aman, demokratis dan sehat, karena pilkada merupakan sebuah proses untuk mendapatkan pemimpin terbaik, serta memiliki legimitasi di masyarakat.
