Ketika memeriksa  pasukan, Wakil Bupati menekankan perlunya menjaga protokol kesehatan dalam menjalankan tugas di lapangan. “Perlunya menjaga protokol kesehatan agar tidak terjadi klaster baru Covid-19, itu juga pesan Panglima dan Presiden agar selalu menjaga protokol Covid-19,“ pesan Wabup Merangin kepada setiap pasukan.

Dandim 0420/Sarko Letkol Tomy Radya Diansyah Lubis ditemui usai pemeriksaan pasukan mengatakan, TNI turut mengamankan jalannya Pilkada Gubernur dan Wakil Gubernur Jambi dengan ikut serta menerjunkan anggotanya untuk bertugas dilapangan. “Kurang lebih seratus anggota kita yang diturunkan dalam penganaman Pilkada ini. Semoga Pilkada berjalan aman dan tertib," kata Dandim 0420/Sarko.

Sementara Kapolres Merangin AKBP Irwan Andy Purnamawan menjawab pertanyaan mengatakan bahwa Kepolisian Resort (Polres) Merangin telah siap untuk melakukan pengamanan Pilkada. “Situasi di Merangin relatif aman dan terkendali, yang ada rawan geografis di Merangin dan anggota siap untuk mengatasinya,"  tegas  Kapolres Merangin.

Berapa banyak pasukan yang dilibatkan dalam pengamana Pilkada Tahun 2020, ini penjelasan Kapolres Merangin. “Polres Merangin menerjunkan sekitar 215 personil, dibantu sebanyak 50 personil dari Polda Jambi, Brimob sebanyak 30 orang personil dan dari TNI sebanyak 100 personil," tegas Kapolres Merangin.

Sebelum pemeriksaan kelengkapan anggota yang akan dikirim kelapanga, Polres Merangin telah melakukan apel pasukan pengamanan Pilkada Gubernur dan Wakil Gubernur Jambi dan bertindak sebagai Inspektur upacara Kapolres Merangin AKBP Irwan Andy Purnamwan.
