Pada rakor tersebut, para kepala daerah seluruh Indonesia, diberitahukan larangan mudik Lebaran Idul Fitri 1442 H, karena  jika mudik dilakukan dikhawatirkan bisa terjadi ledakan meningkatan angka Covid-19.
‘’Untuk itu penyekatan batas-batas wilayah, secara tegas akan dilakukan mulai tanggal 04 – 17 Mei 2021. Kita harapkan Kabupaten Merangin tetap aman dan kondusif serta angka Covid-19 dapat terus kita tekan,’’ tegas Wabup.
Bagaimana jika tetap ada warga yang nekat mudik? Dijelaskan wabup warga yang nekat mudik akan terkendala di Posko Perbatasan wilayah. Mereka akan diintruksikan putar balik ke daerah asal.
Sementara itu Kapolres Merangin AKBP Irwan Andy Purnamawan menegaskan, menghadapi Lebaran Idul Fitri 1442 H, Polres Merangin akan menggelar Operasi Ketupat dan mendirikan empat posko.
‘’Keempat Posko itu tiga Posko kita dirikan di perbatasan Merangin-Bungo, Merangin-Sarolangun dan Merangin-Kerinci. Satu Posko lagi di dalam Kota Bangko,’’ terang Kapolres.
