BATANGHARINEWS.COM, JAKARTA — Aksi pengeboman yang dilakukan Angkatan Bersenjata Israel belum lama terhadap bangunan kantor Al Jazeera dan Associated Press (AP) di Gaza, Palestina mendapat kecaman dari berbagai pihak.
Serikat Media Siber Indonesia (SMSI), organisasi perusahaan media Siber yang berkantor pusat di Jakarta, dan beranggotakan 1.225 media, menilai tindakan militer Israel tersebut sebagai perbuatan barbar, seperti ketika manusia belum mengenal hukum dan aturan.
“Tidak pantas tentara Israel melakukan perbuatan barbar di zaman yang sudah modern ini. Jangan biarkan tindakan barbar tentara Israel,” kata Ketua Umum SMSI Firdaus didampingi M. Nasir Sekretaris Jenderal SMSI dalam keterangan pers hari Minggu, 16 Mei 2021 di Jakarta.
Sebagai pimpinan organisasi media online terbesar di Indonesia selanjutnya turut mengecam tindakan militer Israel yang menghancurkan bangunan, termasuk kantor media Al Jazeera dan Associated Press.
Firdaus sangat menyayangkan aksi brutal angkatan bersenjata Israel tersebut. Apalagi bangunan tersebut tidak hanya disewa oleh Al Jazeera dan AP melainkan bangunan tersebut menampung berbagai kantor berita di dalamnya.
Melihat konflik yang seolah tidak berujung ini, Firdaus yang juga owner Majalah Teras dan Group ini juga cemas akan terus bertambahnya korban jiwa akibat pertempuran antara Palestina dan Israel.
Sementara itu, dari data terakhir yang dapat kantor berita Reuters, total ada 149 korban jiwa manusia di Palestina, 41 di antaranya adalah anak-anak yang mayoritas berada di wilayah Gaza.
Sementara Israel sendiri baru melaporkan ada 10 warga mereka yang meninggal termasuk dua anak-anak.
Hari ini, Dewan Keamanan PBB (DK PBB) diagendakan akan menggelar pertemuan yang membahas situasi Israel dan Palestina.
Pertemuan tersebut akan menjadi pertemuan ketiga DK PBB soal isu kedua negara.
Sebelumnya, DK PBB sempat mencoba untuk mengeluarkan resolusi atau pernyataan bersama terkait pertempuran Israel - Palestina pada Kamis lalu. Namun, upaya itu mendapat pertentangan dari Amerika yang menganggap rancangan DK PBB "kontra-produktif".
Selain itu, Amerika juga ingin mengupayakan langkah diplomasi langsung ke Palestina dan Israel terlebih dahulu. Dan, akhirnya disepakati rapat yang digelar hari Minggu ini.
Sejauh ini, langkah diplomasi yang dilakukan Amerika sejak hari Jumat belum membuahkan hasil. Ketegangan antara Palestina dan Israel, yang terburuk sejak tahun 2014, tetap saja meningkat dengan indikasi gencatan senjata belum tampak. Hal inilah yang nantinya akan dibahas di DK PBB.
Tantangan ke depan dari apapun hasil rapat DK PBB soal de-eskalasi adalah milisi Palestina, Hamas. Mereka berperan besar dalam pertempuran dengan Israel.
Kebanyakan negara, terutama negara Barat, tidak memiliki kontak dengan organisasi tersebut yang mereka cap sebagai kelompok teroris. Di sisi lain, Presiden Palestina, Mahmoud Abbas, tidak punya pengaruh besar ke Hamas.
