MUARABULIAN - Dua orang pengendara motor tewas dengan kondisi mengenaskan. Informasi yang diperoleh menyebutkan, peristiwa maut ini terjadi sekitar pukul 04.30 Wib subuh dini hari Selasa (29/6/2021) di Jalan lintas Muarabulian-Tembesi, tepatnya di RT 01 RW 01 Kelurahan Sridadi, Kecamatan Muarabulian, Kabupaten Batanghari.
Menurut warga sekitar, pengendara motor adu kambing dengan truk kosong dengan Nopol BH 8775 GU dari arah Jambi. Dengan kecepatan tinggi kecelakaan pun terjadi. Sepeda motor korban rusak berat, sementara truk kosong mengalami penyok pada bagian depan.
Informasi lain menyebutkan, dua pengendara motor yang tewas tersebut merupakan ibu dan anak. Korban pergi kepasar subuh untuk berjualan tape. Korban atas nama Saryati dan anaknya Sugiyanto berniat ingin mendahului kendaraan yang berada di depannya, sebab kedua korban ingin bergegas ke pasar untuk berjualan. Diketahui lokasi kejadian tersebut juga telah jauh dari rumah korban.
“Kejadiannyo lebih kurang jam 04.30 Wib subuh tadi. Persisnyo depan rumah sayo. Korban orang Sridadi, duo beranak. Korban setiap subuh kepasar berjualan tape di pasar Keramat Tinggi Muarabulian,” kata warga Sridadi.
Aiptu Musis Kanit Lantas Polres Batanghari mengatakan , bahwa sebelum terjadi kecelakaan lalulintas sepeda motor Yamaha Vega BH 3419 PO datang dari arah Muara tembesi menuju Jambi. , secara bersamaan datang kendaraan truk Isuzu BH 8735 GO dari arah berlawanan dan mengambil lajur kanan dari arah Jambi menuju Muara tembesi , sehingga mengakibatkan kecelakaan dan korban meninggal dunia di tempat, ” kata Musis. , bahwa saat ini sopir masih dalam pemeriksaan. “Sopir truk masih dalam pemeriksaan dan anggota masih melengkapi berkas di lapangan, ” pungkasnya.
