JAMBI - Ketua Dekrenasada Provinsi Jambi, Hj. Hesti Haris didampingi Plt. Kepala Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Provinsi Jambi, Kepala UPTD Museum Siginjai membuka Seminar Kajian Motif Jambi. Seminar ini dikuti oleh Dosen, praktisi, budayawan dan peserta dari berbagai daerah di Provinsi Jambi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Aula Museum Siginjai, Rabu (11/08/2021).
Ketua TP PKK Provinsi Jambi mengatakan bahwa Batik Jambi memiliki beragam motif yang menggambarkan makna filosofis dan budaya yang perlu diperkenalkan dan dipahami oleh generasi muda.
"Tugas pemerintah untuk mengamankan, melestarikan dan mengelola serta mengembangkan atas dasar ilmu pengetahuan budaya, sejarah serta tata nilai yang berlaku ditengah masyarakat. Kita semua berharap keberadaan batik Jambi yang memiliki beragam motif ini dijadikan potensi kekayaan sejarah, budaya dan alam di pPovinsi Jambi dapat memberi manfaat untuk masyarakat Jambi," ujar Hesti.
Lebih lanjut Ketua TP PKK menghimbau kepada Dinas terkait dalam hal ini Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata melalui UPTD Museum Siginjai dapat memberikan pembinaan kepada para pelaku Usaha UMKM, Pengrajin batik dan sentra-sentra produksi batik yang ada di Provinsi Jambi dalam mengembangkan aneka ragam motif Jambi tersebut.
Pembinaan ini, lanjutnya diharapkan berkesinambungan, komunikasi dan sinkronisasi dari pemerintah maupun kelompok-kelompok masyarakat yang bersifat formal maupun informal terutama UMKM dapat menumbuh kembangkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pelestarian batik Jambi sebagai identitas dan jati diri bangsa yang harus dijaga dan dilindungi.
Seminar Motif Jambi dengan menghadirkan narasumber yang profesional dari Dekan Fakultas Budaya Unand ini bisa mendorong para pelaku seni membatik jambi menghasilkan karya-karya yang hebat kedepannya.
"Kita berharap kedepannya motif batik Jambi bisa terkenal oleh Negeri maupun Mancanegara sehingga kedepannya motif batik Jambi semakin diketahui banyak orang, sehingga pengrajin pun bisa berkarya dan bisa meningkatkan ekonominya," ucapnya.
