Tampak juga dalam rombongan bupati Inspektur Merangin Hatam Tafsir, Kepala Dinas Kominfo Merangin M Arief, Kabag Umum Setda Merangin Hendri dan perwakilan dari DPRD Merangin As’ari El Wakas.
Pada dialog yang berlangsung di ruang rapat kerja Walikota Bogor tersebut, untuk sesi pertanyaan terkait RTRW Walikota Bogor Bima Arya Sugiarto menyanyakan berapa luas Kabupaten Merangin kepada Bupati Merangin H Mashuri.
Luas Kabupaten Merangin jelas bupati, 7.679 km2 atau 745,130 ha, yang terdiri dari 4.607 km2 berupa dataran rendah dan 3.027 km2 berupa dataran tinggi, dengan ketinggian berkisar 46 - 1.206 m dari permukaan air laut. 
Dengan kondisi wilayah seluas itu jelas Bima Arya Sugiarto, akan banyak bisa dimanfaatkan semaksimal mungkin dalam pemetaan RTRW. Bahkan Walikota menyebutkan bukan wilayah lagi, tapi sudah bisa jadi lautan karena luasnya.
‘’Nanti bisa dibuat lautan pasar, lautan ruko, lautan angkot, lautan perumahan, lautan industry, lautan pendidikan, smart city dan kota cerdas. Banyak yang bisa dibuat dengan wilayah seluas itu,’’terang Walikota Bogor.
