MUARABULIAN - Satu orang perempuan yang masih duduk di bangku Sekolah Dasar (SD) tengelam di Sungai Batanghari, saat hendak mengambil sendal nya yang hanyut terbawa arus sungai Batanghari.
Korban diketahui terjatuh dan tenggelam di sungai Batanghari pada Sabtu (19/1/2019) sekira pukul 15.30 wib.
Korban terjatuh dari Jamban (tempat Mck) umum aliran sungai Batanghari di Rt 07 Desa Sengkati Baru, kecamatan Mersam, kabupaten Batanghari.
Korban diketahui bernama Nani Rinawati Binti Suparno (10) tahun seorang perempuan, pelajar SD yang beralamat di Rt. 09 desa Sengkati Baru, kecamatan Mersam, kabupaten Batanghari.
Kasubag Humas Polres Batanghari, Iptu Supradono menceritakan krologis kejadian. Kata dia, korban yang bernama Nani Rimawati beserta 2 temannya (Saksi) belajar ngaji di DTA desa Sengkati Baru Rt 07. Pada saat jam istirahat, korban keluar dari lokal untuk buang air kecil bersama dua rekanya yang berada di aliran sungai Batanghari turun ke jaban (Mck) di belakang DTA ALHIDAYAH. Ketika sampai di jamban, alaskaki (sendal) korban hanyut dalam aliran sungai Batanghari.
Kemudian korban turun dalam sungai untuk mengambil alas kakinya. Namun korban tidak bisa berenang sehingga korban terbawa arus dan tengelam. Melihat kejadian tersebut, ke dua temannya melaporkan kejadian tersebut ke rumah warga disekitar korban tenggelam dan juga memberitahu guru ngaji dan masyarakat turut mencari korban di pinggiran sungai Batanghari sampai saat ini masih dalam pencarian," beber Supadono, melalui pesan WhatsApp nya Sabtu (19/1/2019).
