MUARABULIAN – Diperkirakan permintaan hewan kurban untuk Hari Raya Idul Adha di kabupaten Batanghari pada 11 Agustus 2019 bakal meningkat. Kendati demikian, Dinas Perkebunan dan Peternakan Batanghari, memastikan ketersediaan hewan kurban, aman.
Kepala Dinas Perkebunan dan Peternakan Batanghari, Irwan AM.d Sp melalui Kabid Peternakan dan Kesehatan Hewan, Yannofa, mengatakan, saat ini stok hewan kurban ada sekitar 400-500 ekor baik sapi maupun kerbau. Stok hewan kurban ini ada di petani dan pengumpul yang ada di empat kecamatan dalam kabupaten Batanghari. Empat kecamatan itu adalah, kecamatan Muarabulian, Pemayung, Bajubang dan Muaratembesi.
“ Stok hewan kurban yang ada saat ini ada 400 sampai 500 ekor di petani dan pengumpul. Jadi dari jumlah itu kita yakin stok hewan kurban untuk Batanghari cukup,” kata Yannofa pada Kamis (1/8/2019).
Terkait hal itu, kata Yannofa, petugas akan dikerahkan untuk melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan dan kelayakan hewan kurban. Hal itu dilakukan untuk memastikan sapi atau hewan sudah layak untuk dijadikan hewan kurban atau belum.
“ Penyediaan hewan kurban wajib dilaksanakan, mulai dari memantau ketersediaan hewan, hingga memastikan kualitas hewan kurban,” sebutnya.
Yannofa juga mengatakan, untuk harga sapi kurban saat ini diperkirakan antara 13-18 juta perekor. Sementara kerbau diperkirakan antara 15-20 juta perekor.
Selain stok hewan kurban, Yannofa juga mengatakan, saat ini ada 160 ribu ekor ayam ada di mitra ayam potong di Batanghari. Jadi jika ada lonjakan harga ayam menjelang lebaran nanti, maka itu perlu disikapi,” tutup Yannofa.(mon )
