MUARABULIAN - Musim kemarau yang mulai melanda beberapa daerah di kabupaten Batanghari, berdampak pada ribuan hektar areal persawahan mengalami kekeringan. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, dari Dinas Tanaman Pangan dan Hortikultura kabupaten Batanghari, sebanyak 1.148 hektar sawah mengalami kekeringan.
Plt Kepala Dinas TPH Batanghari, Drs . M. Arif Budiman MH melalui Kabid Produksi Pertanian, Isnen SP mengatakan, dari 2.988 hektar luas lahan pertanaman komoditas tanaman pangan (Padi-red) di kabupaten Batanghari, saat ini yang mengalami kekeringan kondisi sampai tanggal 2 Agustus 2019 seluas 1.148 hektar. Luas lahan yang kekeringan tersebut, terbagi kedalam tiga tingkatan, yakni ringan, sedang dan berat. Dari jumlah itu rinciannya yakni, kekeringan ringan mencapai 829 hektar, kekeringan sedang seluas 258 hektar dan kekeringan berat mencapai 411 hektar.
Data ini diperoleh berdasarkan laporan dari petugas lapangan (POPT) yang ada di wilayah Batanghari.
” Jika terus terjadi kemungkinan ada peningkatan dari ringan ke sedang dan sedang menjadi berat. Namun, sampai saat ini belum ada laporan tanaman padi yang fuso,” ujarnya kepada wartawan, Senin (5/8/2019).
Isnen mengatakan, dari laporan POPT tersebut, rata-rata umur tanaman padi sawah yang terkena dampak kekeringan tersebut berusia 30-45 hari dan ada juga yang sudah berusia 60-70 hari.
Terkait bencana alam kekeringan yang melanda lahan persawahan di Batanghari ini, diakui Isnen sudah dilaporkan kepada Dinas Tanaman Pangan , Hortikultura Provinsi Jambi. “ Perihal ini sudah kita laporkan ke Dinas Provinsi,” kata Isnen.
Ia mengatakan, luas lahan yang paling banyak terdampak tersebar di wilayah kecamatan Muarabulian, Marosebo Ilir, Muaratembesi, Batin XXIV dan Pemayung. Untuk itu, pihaknya menghimbau kepada petani yang ada untuk memanfaatkan pompanisasi untuk daerah yang masih terdapat sarana air.
Dan kepada petugas lapangan untuk dapat segera melaporkan kondisi terkini dilapangan kepada dinas.
“ Dengan pemanfaatan pompanisasi yang ada diharapkan para petani yang terancam kekeringan tidak gagal panen atau fuso,” tuturnya.
Untuk itu, pihaknya terus melakukan pendampingan.(*)
