BATANGHARINEWS.COM -- Tim Tari Kabupaten Merangin akan tampil mewakili Provinsi Jambi, pada Parade Tari Nasional yang akan berlangsung pada 9-10 Agustus 2013 di Taman Mini Indoneia Indah (TMII) Jakarta.
Kontingen Parade Tari Nasional Kabupaten Merangin yang berjumlah 20 orang tersebut, pada Senin pagi (5/8) dilepas Wabup Merangin H Mashuri usai upacara kedisiplinan di halaman depan Kantor Bupati Merangin.
Sebanyak 20 orang itu, sebanyak 10 orang merupakan pemusik, sembilan orang penari dan satu orang penyanyi. ‘’Jadi mereka ini nanti akan membawa Tarian Legenda Merangin Masumai,’’ ujar Wabup.
Tarian legenda itu jelas wabup, menceritakan Putri Selasih dan Pemuda bernama Masumai. Wabup minta kepada kontingen Merangin ini dapat tampil semaksimal mungkin, mengingat yang dibawa nama besar Provinsi Jambi.
‘’Tentu kita mempunyai saingan yang banyak, tidak hanya Bali atau Jogja, tapi juga ada Maluku, Papua dan daerah lainnya. Kita harus punya tekad, harus lebih baik dari penampilan daerah lainnya,’’ pinta Wabup.
Kantingen Merangin kata wabup, harus mempunyai motivasi yang tinggi. Kiprah Kontingen Tari Merangin ini diharapkan wabup, tidak hanya sampai ajang Parade Tari Nasional, tapi juga ke ajang yang lebih tinggi dan luas lagi.
Selain itu wabup berharap, para Kontingen Tari Merangin tidak hanya membawa misi tari atau seni saja pada even tersebut, tapi juga harus mampu mempromosikan objek-objek wisata yang ada di Kabupaten Merangin.
‘’Kita punya banyak obejk wisata, seperti Geopark Merangin, Arung Jeram dan Kaldera Merangin yang wajib dipromosikan. Saya sangat memberikan apresiasi yang tinggi terhadap Tim Tari Merangin ini,’’ terang Wabup.
Pada kesempatan itu, wabup berpesan kepada para Tim Kontingen Tari Merangin, untuk sepandai mungkin menjaga kesehatan, makan dan istirahat yang cukup, sehingga bisa tampil lebih maksimal. (don )
