TANJAB BARAT - Bupati Tanjung Jabung Barat, Dr. Ir. H. Safrial MS menghadiri sekaligus mengikuti Rakor Percepatan Pembangunan Fasilitas Pelabuhan Laut di Provinsi Jambi yang diselenggarakan oleh Kementerian Perhubungan di Hotel BW Luxury Jambi pada Jumat (17/01).
Rapat Koordinasi yang diselenggarakan oleh Dirjen Perhubungan Laut Kementerian Perhubungan ini, diselenggarakan dalam rangka percepatan pembangunan, pemanfaatan dan pengembangan pelabuhan laut di wilayah Jambi.
Selain membahas tentang perkembangan pembangunan pelabuhan laut di wilayah Provinsi Jambi, pada rakor ini juga membicarakan terkait kendala - kendala yang di hadapi dalam percepatan pembangunan. Untuk wilayah Provinsi Jambi, Setidaknya ada 3 Kabupaten yang mempunyai fasilitas Pelabuhan Laut, yaitu Tanjab timur, Muaro Jambi dan Tanjab barat. Di Tanjung Jabung Barat sendiri, sudah ada pelabuhan yang di kelola PT. Pelindo dan sudah siap beroperasi namun masih ada sedikit kendala di sisi alur.
Dalam kesempatan Rakor ini, Bupati Tanjung Jabung Barat, Safrial menyampaikan bahwa pada rakor ini Pemerintah Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat mendukung penuh percepatan pembangunan Pelabuhan Laut diwilayah Tanjabbar.
Safrial juga mengusulkan kepada Dirjen Perhubungan Laut, Anggota DPR-RI dan Pepmrov Jambi untuk pembangunan pengembangan Pelabuhan Kelagian. Menurutnya, pelabuhan yang melewati jalur sungai pengabuan ini sangat strategis, mengingat bisa di lewati 20 ribu ton, dan jarak ke ambak luar hanya sekitar 61 Mil," tutur Safrial.
Bupati berharap pelabuhan yang lahannya telah siap ini bisa masuk di rencana induk pembangunan pelabuhan Nasional.
Turut hadir pada rakor tersebut Gubernur Jambi yang diwakili Asisten II, Anggota DPR-RI, H.A.Bakri, Drs. H. Hasan Basri Agus, Sofyan Ali, Direktur Jenderal Perhubungan Laut R. Agus Purnomo, Bupati Tanjung Jabung Barat, Bupati Tanjung Jabung Timur, Bupati Muaro Jambi dan kepala OPD terkait.
