Kepala desa Sarang Burung, Badrun, saat dikonfirmasi membenarkan adanya kejadian tersebut. Dikatakannya, kejadian ambruknya 8 Bedeng di desanya disebabkan hujan deras semalam.
"Yo, ado 8 unit bedeng yang ambruk karno hujan semalam. Kondisi air di bawah bedeng tu juga dalam, karno tempat kami kini keno banjir air sungai lagi naik kinitu," sebut Kades Badrun.
Disebutkannya, akibat ambruknya bedeng tersebut hampir semua peralatan tidur, perkakas dapur, pakaian semuanya jatuh kebawah dan terendam air. Selain itu 6 unit motor milik penghuni bedeng juga jatuh terendam air.
"Ado anak kecil juga yang jatuh, tapi Alhamdulillah dak apo-apo, cuma luka ringan. Sementara motor Ado 6 unit jugo jatuh terendam," sebutnya.
Dijelaskannya, penghuni Bedeng tersebut kebanyakan di isi oleh warga pendatang yang mencari kerja, karna ditempat ini terdapat perusahaan terbesar dijambi yaitu PT PSUT yang sekarang berganti nama menjadi PT SGS.
"Kalau yang tinggal di bedeng tu, kebanyakan warga kita dari luar daerah yang mencari kerja ditempat kita. Kalau warga asli kita yang tinggal disitu hanya satu, pak Hadi," sebutnya.
Ditambahkannya, atas kejadian ini, pihak pemerintahan desa telah melaporkan kejadian ke pihak kecamatan. Dirinya berharap ada perhatian dari instansi terkait atas kejadian ini.
Sementara itu, Hendra salah seorang warga sekitar mengatakan, saat ini warga sedang bergotong royong membantu mengangkat barang barang yang jatuh ke atas pinggir jalan, barang barang mulai dari perabotan kasur pakaian dan peralatan dapur di amankan di pinggir jalan tempat lokasi kejadian.
"Warga ikut bantu menyelamatkan barang-barang dipindahkan ke tempat yang lebih aman, karna semalam itukan kejadiannya tiba tiba jadi dak bisa diselamatkan. Sekarang warga ikut bantu gotong royong," sebut Hendra.
