Hal ini terungkap saat Polres Merangin menggelar konfrensi pers di Mapolres Merangin, Kamis (16/7/2020) dengan menghadirkan tersangka  bernama BG bin N (21) beralamat Desa Tanjung Dalam, Kecamatan  Lembah Masurai, Kabupaten Merangin

Tersangka yang kini diamankan di Mapolres Merangin dilaporkan oleh DR binti A (20) beralamat di desa Durian Mukut, Kecamatan Lembah Masurai, Merangin.

Menurut Polres Merangin, kejadiannya pada hari Jumat, tanggal 26 Juni 2020, sekira jam 14.00 WIB, pelapor (Deva Rahmania) sedang berada di dalam rumah tepatnya di dalam kamar/Istirahat. Tidak beberapa lama kamar pelapor diketuk pintunya oleh kakak kandung sdri Leli Yunia. Setiba di dalam kamar kakak kandung Pelapor langsung menanyakan dan memperlihatkan salah satu Chat Whatsapp kepada Pelapor melalui hand pohn milik kakak kandungnya. Adapun di dalam Chat Whatsapp tersebut yaitu Pelapor langsung melihat sendiri yaitu salah satu Capture Foto tentang Pelapor. Pelapor langsung membenarkan dan menjelaskan kepada kakak kandungnya bahwa Capture Foto tersebut adalah foto tentang dirinya sekitar bulan Pebruari, dimana seingat Pelapor sedang bersama Bobi Geramoc yang berada di areal semak/Kebun milik orang. Pelapor  juga menjelaskan bahwa capture Foto tersebut diambil/difoto tanpa sepengetahuan Pelapor/melainkan secara diam-diam Terlapor di Foto oleh sdr Bobi Geramc pada saat itu. Adapun Capture foto tersebut saat ini telah di sebar luaskan oleh Terlapor melalui media Medsos Facebook. Selanjutnya Pelapor langsung melaporkan  kejadian tersebut ke pihak berwajib di Kepolisian Resort Polres Merangin, untuk ditindak lanjuti .

Dalam Konferense Perss Wakapolres Merangin Kompol Edy Inganta, S.I.K mengatakan, agar lebih bijak dalam bermedia sosial dan kepada pelaku akan dikenakan UU ITE. “Atas perbuatannya tersebut pelaku akan dikenakan UU ITE dengan ancaman hukuman maksimal 6 tahun atau denda sebanyak 1 milyar rupiah,” tandas Wakapolres Merangin Kompol Edy Inganta.
