MUARABULIAN - Angka tanam padi sawah di kabupaten Batanghari, mencapai 9.462 hektar dari target 9.494 hektar. Angka tanam tersebut merupakan angka tanam periode bulan Oktober 2019 sampai dengan bulan Agustus 2020.
“Untuk periode Oktober 2019 sampai Agustus 2020 ini angka tanam padi sudah mencapai 9.462 hektar dari target 9.494 hektar,” kata Kepala Dinas Tanaman Pangan dan Hortikultura Batanghari, Mara Mulya Pane melalui Kabid Produksi Pertanian, Isnen, saat dikonfirmasi media ini di Muarabulian pada Senin (31/8/2020).
Isnen meyakini jika target tanam periode Oktober 2019 sampai Agustus 2020 sebesar 9.494 hektar akan tercapai. Hal itu dikarenakan realisasi target tanam yang ditetapkan hanya kurang lebih tinggal 32 hektar lahan yang belum tertanam.
“Insya Allah target tanam periode Oktober 2019 sampai Agustus 2020 ini kana tercapai,” kata Isnen.
Ia mengatakan, selama ini bidang usaha lahan padi sawah di Batanghari cukup besar, sehingga dapat mendorong pendapatan ekonomi masyarakat. Selain itu juga memenuhi ketersedian pangan.
Pemerintah daerah terus bekerja keras untuk mendukung petani dalam peningkatan produktivitasanya guna mendukung program ketahanan pangan.
“Pemerintah terus mendorong petani agar bisa meningkatkan produktivitasnya guna mendukung program ketahanan pangan,” ujarnya.
