JAMBI – Kinerja Kapolda Jambi Irjen Pol. A. Rachmad Wibowo khususnya dalam memberantas praktik Penambangan Emas Tanpa Izin (PETI) dan illegal drilling (pengeboran minyak ilegal) mendapat apresiasi dari Ketua DPRD Provinsi Jambi Edi Purwanto.
Menurut Edi permasalahan PETI dan illegal drilling sudah sangat klasik di provinsi Jambi, untuk itu dibutuhkan ketegasan dan konsistensi dari para pihak untuk menghentikannya.
“Dari awal saya dilantik, saya udah menyampaikan itu, salah satu penyebab keruhnya sungai Batanghari karena PETI, jadi kita apresiasi kinerja dan ketegasan Kapolda,” terang Edi saat ditemui di ruang kerjanya (3/2/2021).
Ketua DPD PDI Perjuangan Provinsi Jambi ini juga mengapresiasi langkah-langkah yang ditempuh Kapolda Jambi dalam memerangi penyelundupan dan menjaga kamtibmas di provinsi Jambi.
Edi mengatakan, untuk kemajuan provinsi Jambi, dirinya siap bersinergi dengan seluruh jajaran forkopimda (forum koordinasi pimpinan daerah) khususnya Kapolda.
“Sebagai wakil rakyat, sesuai dengan tugas dan fungsi DPRD, saya tentu mendukung penuh langkah-langkah tegas pak Kapolda, kita pengen provinsi Jambi semakin baik, khususnya dalam hal keamanan dan penegakan hukum,” pungkasnya.(*)
