MERANGIN - Tim Percepatan Penurunan Stunting (TPPS) di setiap kecamatan dan keluarahan/desa dalam Kabupaten Merangin, diajak bersama-sama menjalankan perannya, menjaring faktor risiko stunting pada masyarakat.
Ajakan tersebut disampaikan Bupati Merangin H Mashuri melalui Kepala Dinas Pengendalian Penduduk dan Keluarga Berencana (PPKB) Merangin H Abdaie, saat membuka mini lokakarya tingkat kecamatan untuk percepatan penurunan angka stunting, yang berlangsung di Aula Dinas PPKB Merangin, Selasa (24/5/22).
‘’TPPS kecamatan dan kelurahan/desa juga harus mendampingi keluarga dan calon pengantin yang berisiko stunting. Ini sangat penting guna mempercepat penurunan angka stunting di Kabupaten Merangin,’’ujar H Abdaie.
Tujuan dilakukannya mini lokakarya itu lanjut H Abdaie, untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya mengenal apa itu stunting, bagaimana menyikapi dan seperti apa peran TPPS dalam penanganan serta pencegahan stunting.
Pada kesempatan itu, Kadis PPKB Merangin H Abdaie langsung berperan sebagai pemateri pencegahan dini stunting. Diakhir penyampaian materi, dilakukan diskusi membahas, pencegahan stunting di Kecamatan Bangko dan miningkatkan koordinasi degan pihak-pihak terkait.
Diharapkan H Abdaie TPPS kecamatan dan keluarahan/desa dapat bersinergi dengan program-program yang ada di seluruh wilayah dalam upaya percepatan penurunan angka stunting.
Mini lokakarya untuk Kecamaan Bangko tersebut, diikuti para kader TPPS Kecamatan Bangko, kelurahan/desa, instansi lintas sektoral dan utusan dinas terkait. Mini lokakarya itu akan berlanjut untuk kecamatan-kecamatan lainnya.
