Penangkapan pelaku penyalahgunaan Narkoba disampaikan Kapolres Merangin AKBP Mokhamad Lutfi melalui Paur Humas Polres Merangin Iptu Edih, Sabtu (15/8/2020).
Kronologis penangkapan 2 tersangka bermula pada hari Jumat (31/7/2020) sekira pukul 18.00 WIB anggota Opsnal Sat Res Narkoba mendapatkan infomasi bahwa sering terjadi transaksi narkoba di kalangan perempuan yang bekerja di tempat hiburan malam di Kota Bangko.
Berbekal informasi tersebut kemudian team melakukan penyelidikan dan pengumpulan barang bukti. Pada hari Sabtu (15/8/2020) sekira jam 01.15 WIB dini hari, team mendapatkan informasi bahwa pelaku sedang membawa narkotika jenis Shabu.
Kemudian team Opsnal Sat Res Narkoba melakukan pencarian keberadaan pelaku dan terlihat tersangka TP sedang berboncengan mengendarai kendaraan dengan pacarnya HW yang bekerja di tempat hiburan malam.
Kemudian oleh team pelaku dihentikan dan dilakukan pemeriksaan. Saat diperiksa ditemukan barang bukti disaku belakang sebelah kanan 1 (satu) bungkus rokok Sampoerna Mild yang berisikan 2 (dua) paket narkotika jenis Shabu yang diakui adalah miliknya.
Saat di interograsi, pelaku TP mengaku mendapatkan narkotika tersebut dengan cara membeli dari ARS yang beralamat di Desa Perentak Kecamatan Pangkalan Jambu dimana barang haram tersebut rencananya akan dipakai bersama dengan pacarya HW.
Setelah mendapatkan keterangan dari tersangka kemudian team Opsnal Sat Res Narkoba melakukan pengembangan dirumah ARS, namun keberadaan yang bersangkutan tidak ada ditempat dan oleh Team terus dilakukan pencarian.
Dari tersangka berhasil diamankan barang bukti berupa 2 (satu) buahpaket plastik bening yang berisi narkotika jenis Shabu Bruto 0,80 Gram, 1 (satu) buah potongan kertas warna putih, 1 (satu) buah potongan kertas rokok warna putih, 1 (satu) buah bungkus rokok Sampoerna mild, 1 (satu) unit Sepeda Motor Honda Beat street warna hitam beserta kunci kontaknya, 1 (satu) unit HP merk OPPO F9 warna orange beserta sim cardnya, dan 1 (satu) unit HP merk OPPO A37 warna putih gold beserta sim cardnya.

“Pelaku dan Barang Bukti diamankan ke Polres Merangin untuk penyidikan lebih lanjut dan dijerat Pasal 114 ayat (1), Pasal 112 ayat (1) Undang-Undang Republik Indonesia No 35 Tahun 2009 Tentang Narkotika,” jelas Iptu Edih.
