AKBP Mokhammad Lutfi berterimakasih kepada bupati dan jajaran Polres Merangin yang telah membatu tugasnya di Merangin. Semua tegasnya, menjadi kenangan indah yang tidak terlupakan.
‘’Saya genap 11 bulan dinas di Merangin, namun semua sudah menjadi sanak saudara saya. Bila ada perbuatan dan perkataan yang tidak berkenan mohon  untuk dimaafkan dengan ikhlas,’’ujar AKBP Mokhammad Lutfi.
Sementara itu AKBP Irwan Andy Purnamawan sebagai Kapolres Merangin yang baru, minta dukungan bupati, Forkopinda dan semua pihak serta seluruh masyarakat Kabupaten Merangin.
‘’Ada kejadian yang memberi firasat saya bertugas di Merangin. Saya pernah liburan di ke Kerinci mengendarai mobil sendiri lewat Kabupaten Merangin, jalannya masih berlubang dan mobil saya macet mendadak,’’ ujar  AKBP Irwan Andy Purnamawan.
Mobil itu lanjut putra asal Madura ini, kemudian ditumbuk mobil dibelakangnya. Namun semua bisa terselesaikan. ‘’Sebelum saya melanjutkan perjalanan, ada  anggota Polres Merangin yang men-doa-kan semoga bapak jadi komandan kami di sini,’’ kenangnya.
AKBP Irwan Andy Purnamawan berharap Merangin kedepan bisa menjadi lebih baik dan maju keamanannya. Kapolres berharap, dirinya bisa diterima menjadi warga Kabupaten Merangin.
