TANJAB BARAT - Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat, merupakan kabupaten yang rawan akan kasus Kebakaran Hutan dan Lahan (Karhutla).
Buktinya, pada tahun 2019 lalu, di kabupaten pesisir ini, ditemukan ratusan hektar luas lahan gambut gundul dampak dari Karhutla.
"78 kasus Karhutla, dengan luas lahan terbakar 516 hektar," ujar Kepala BPBD Tanjabbar, Zulfikri.
Zulfikri menjelaskan, untuk kasus Karhutla pada tahun 2020 belum ditemukan hotspot yang terjadi di wilayah kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat.
"Kalau sesuai dengan pantauan BMKG provinsi Jambi hingga April nanti, masih berpotensi Hidrometeorologi, seperti Banjir, longsor dan angin puting beliung," jelas kepala Badan Pengulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD).
Namun ia menyebut, sesuai dengan perkiraan outlet yang dirilis oleh Badan Meteorologi Klimatologi Geofisika (BMKG), peluang dan ancaman karhutla pada tahun 2020 ini. Terjadi pada bulan Juni, Juli dan Agustus.
Dikatakannya, untuk persiapan dan mengantisipasi hal ini, pihaknya juga sudah menghimbau kepada beberapa perusahaan yang ada di Tanjabbar, untuk ikut terlibat dalam upaya pencegahan kebakaran hutan dan lahan.
"Kita sudah coba mengirim surat ke perusahaan perusahaan, untuk menyampaikan sarana prasarana kemudian termasuk sumber daya manusia, yang bisa didorong digerakkan dalam mengantisipasi Karhutlah ini. Dan apabila itu terjadi kita juga berharap mereka juga ikut terserta," pintanya.
Sedangkan Karhutla yang rawan untuk di Tanjabbar, kata Zul ada di lima Kecamatan, yakni Kecamatan Batang Asam, Pengabuan, Senyerang dan Bram Itam.
"Ada lima Kecamatan di Tanjabbar yang menjadi perhatian khusus. Kita berharap juga untuk tahun 2020 ini, semoga tidak terjadi kebakaran hutan dan lahan seperti pada tahun sebelumnya," terangnya.
Selain itu, ia juga menghimbau kepada masyarakat agar tidak membuka lahan perkebunan dengan cara dibakar saat musim kemarau nanti.
