MERANGIN - Bulan Ramadhan saat yang paling ditunggu kaum muslimin. Bulan Ramadhan juga bulan penuh berkah bagi pedagang makanan dan minuman di pasar beduk. Sementara pedagang pakaian biasanya datang dari luar daerah turut mengais rezeki di bazar ramadhan .
Pada bulan puasa 2020 ini pasar beduk yang sangat indentik dengan bulan Ramadhan pelaksanaannya akan ditiadakan di Merangin, termasuk bazar. 
Kapolres Merangin, AKBP Muhammad Lutfi dikonfirmasi menegaskan, tidak akan mengizinkan adanya aktivitas keramaian  ini dilakuan untuk mencegah pandemi virus korona atau Covid-19 di Merangin.
"Hingga kini izin pengadaan Pasar Beduk dan Bazar belum ada masuk ke meja saya. Kegiatan ini merupakan bentuk pengumpulan orang banyak, tentu tidak akan diboleh kan," tegasnya.
Senada juga dikatakan Bupati Merangin, Al Haris bahwa jika intruksi Kapolri tidak membolehkan adanya aktivitas keramaian. Termasuk aktivitas pasar beduk dan bazar Ramadhan yang tentunya akan mengundang warga berkerumun.
"Bazar dan pasar beduk itu ranahnya Kapolres untuk mengizinkan, tapi kalau melihat dari intruksi Kapolri tidak ada, tidak ada yang sifatnya mengumpulkan masa," kata Al Haris.
