PE MAYUNG - Kecelakaan maut terjadi di Jl Jambi Muara Bulian Desa Serasah, kecamatan Pemayung Kabupaten Batanghari Pukul 11.00 WIB. Dalam lakalantas itu seorang siswa SMA Negeri 8 Batanghari meninggal di tempat akibat bertabrakan dengan mobil truk yang membawa muatan pupuk dari arah Jambi.
Informasi sementara, korban lakalantas yang mengendarai Sepeda Motor Bernopol BH 3404 ME berboncengan dengan temannya pulang dari sekolah menuju ke rumah di desa Ture, namun dalam perjalanannya, motor diduga menyenggol bak samping kanan bagian depan mobil truk Bernopol BA 8302 QU dari arah Jambi.
Kecelakan maut tersebut tidak bisa terhindarkan, sehingga satu orang siswa bernama RW yang duduk di kelas X IPS 3 SMAN 8 Batanghari meninggal ditempat. Sedangkan, satu siswa yang bernama HY SiswaKelas X IPS 2 SMAN 8 dalam keadaan kritis, dilarikan ke RS kota Muara Bulian. Sementara korban yang meninggal di bawa Ke Puskesmas Jembatan Mas Pemayung.
Diketahui juga, Sopir truk muatan barang, sudah dalam pengamanan pihak Polsek Pemayung sekira Pukul 12:35 WIB.
Hingga berita ini dipublish, belum ada keterangan resmi dari pihak kepolisian terkait kejadian itu. " Anggota Kepolisan sedang dalam olah TKP, nanti akan kita sampaikan informasi lengakapnya," ujar Kasat Lantas Polres Batanghari AKP Nafrizal.
