MUARABULIAN - Siswa dan siswi SM PN 21 Batanghari berhasil terpilih menjadi duta Generasi Berencana (Genre) kabupaten Batanghari tahun 2021. Dua pelajar yang tingkat SMP sederjarat itu berhasil terpilih menadi juara I Duta Genre Batanghari yaitu Salwa Nuraini dan Juara III Duta Genre atas nama Rizky Nurmaini Raihan. Terpilihnya sebagai duta Genre Batanghari tahun 2021 dua pelajar ini berhak mewakili kabupaten Batanghari ke Lomba Duta Genre Tingkat Provinsi Jambi Juni mendatang.
Keberhasilan dua pelajar SMPN 21 Batanghari ini berkat bimbingan dari tiga Gurunya Yakni Metty Hartina, M.Pd dan Jufrizar, S.Pd dan Sulistiyani,S.Pd. Berkat bimbingan ketiga pembinanya, dua siswa-siswi nya di masa pandemi Covid-19 ini dapat meraih prestasi sebagai duta Genre Batanghari 2021. “ Semoga dengan prestasi ini dapat memotivasi pelajar di Batanghari terus aktif untuk berkarya meski dengan keadaan terbatas,” ujar Metty Hartina,M.Pd salah satu pembina.
Guru pembina SMPN 21 Batanghari Metty Hartina,M.Pd saat diwawancarai juga mengucapkan terimkasih kepada selmua majelis Gurun dan warga SMPN 21 Batanghari atas dukungan dan Votting yang telah diberikan selama lomba pemilihan duta Genre kabupaten Batanghari tahun 2021 ini.
“ Dengan terpilihnya siswa-siswi kita ini kita mohon dukungan kembali untuk kedua anak kita yang akan mewakili ke tingkat provinsi Jambi mendatang,” sebut Metty Hartina, Rabu (31/03/2021) kemarin.
Ia mengakui bimbingan kepada dua siswanya belum maksimal mengingat pembinaan dilakukan secara online. Namun pelatihan soal akademik tetap di intensifkan sebelum lomba, seperti materi Pik-R, dan sikap-sikap sebagai remaja jika menemukan teman yang terindikasi narkoba serta pergaulan seks bebas.
“ Latihannya juga tidak hanya menghapal materi tapi kami juga menguji dengan pertanyaan yang sifatnya umum jika mereka mengalami dilapangan. Inten latihanya lebih kurang satu bulan menjelang lomba duta Genre ini,” sambung Pembina Jufrizar,S.Pd.
Untuk persiapan selanjutnya setelah menjadi juara dan mewakili ke lomba Duta Genre Provinsi Jambi, tentu persiapan segi administrasi dan menyiapkan ruangan di sekolah. Selain itu, pelatihan materi juga akan kita matangkan lagi kepada dua wakil dari SMPN 21 Batangari ini. “ Kami akan memberikan ruang kepada dua siswa ini untuk tampil dihadapan temannya disekolah untuk menyampaikan materi dan mengingatkan sebagai duta Genre terpilih,” tandasnya.
“ Harapan kami karena dua siswa SMPN 21 Batanghari menjadi wakil ke provinsi tingkat SMP, tentu warga sekolah, masyarakat dapat memberikan poling di link instagram seperti like,komentar dan share nya dapat menjadikan wakil kita dapat membawa yang terbaik di lomba duta Genre tingkat provinsi mendatang,” pungkasnya.
Terpisah Kepsek SMPN 21 Batanghari A Kadir, S.Pd menyampaikan terimkasih kepada seluruh warga sekolah maupun teman-teman SMP yang telah mendukung siswa-siswi hingga terpilih menjadi duta genre tahun 2021 tingkat kabupaten Batanghari.
“ Dari empat siswa yang kita kirim untuk lomba duta Genre ini dua siswa berhasil menjadi juara I duta Gendre putri dan juara II duta Genre putra,” sebut Kepsek.
Kadir menginginkan dua siswanya tidak hanya menjadi duta Genre Batanghari namun pada lomba bulan Juni 2021 mendatang, dapat terpilih sebagai wakil dari Batanghari menjadi duta genre provinsi Jambi.
“ Sesuai dengan slogan SMPN 21 Batanghari “Melejit”, dari fakum sehingga menjadi lebih baik dari sebelumnya dan sesuai dengan ciri khasnya menjadi siswa-siswi yang luar biasa dan beretika,” pungkas Kepsek.
