MUARABULIAN - Sebagai sekolah penggerak Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri (SMAN) 1 Batanghari memberangkatkan seabanyak 170 siswa-siswi kelas XI. Melalui program Mardeka belajar program lawatan sejerah ke bengkulu menjadi tujuannya. Sayangnya, Kepala sekolah pada Kamis Siang pukul 13.30 WIB (23/02/2023) telah melepas siswa keberangkatan diduga tanpa mengantongi izin dari pihak dinas pendidikan provinsi Jambi. Bahkan pengawas dan ketua komite tidak mengetahui prihal keberangkatan tersebut studi lawatan sejarah ke Provinsi Bengkulu itu.
Salah satu orang tua, disela-sela keberangkatan yang minta namanya dirahasiakan menyebutkan, dirinya sebenarnya keberatan, karena kegiatan itu memang harus mengeluarkan biaya yang menguras kantong, belum lagi orang tua harus memberi uang saku untuk anak-anak.
" Soal sekolah mendapat izin kami tidak mengetahui hal itu, cuma kami merasa ini diwajibkan pihak sekolah," sebutnya.
